NYT Bestselling Carrie Ann Ryan continues her Montgomery Ink series with a forbidden romance worth the risk.
Decker Kendrick has kept away from her for years, but now his best friend’s little sister is stepping up the game. No matter how hard he’s tried to stay away from Miranda, once she sets her sights on him, there’s no backing down.
Miranda Montgomery has loved her brother’s best friend for as long as she can remember and won’t walk away until he knows how she feels and what they could have together.
Only once they give in to their temptations, not all is at it seems. Decker’s father is out of jail, and someone from Miranda’s past refuses to stay away. And if he isn’t careful, Decker will lose her before they even have a chance.

Wow, great story. Not sure where it was going at first. So much going on, but it ended very well. So many different couples stories , plus 2 families . Sure kept my interest. Thank You

This story line was great. Characters well interesting but the abusive sexual was not needed and took away from the story. Abuse is abuse! Had the potential to be a great book.

Carrie Ann Ryan really outdid herself with this story! The emotional angst and uncertainty of Decker and Miranda allow me to visualize what was happening as if it was up close and personal! The ability of Miranda to stay true to her feelings for Decker while remaining strong and the way she unselfishly was able to forgive his mistakes although he hurt her was empowering! The best part of it all was the love and support of family and friends! This was a fantastic read! Loved it 😍😍😍

  • Enjoyable read though lazy research errors

Enjoyed this addition to the Montgomery Ink series. The story is a good one though it relies a little too heavily on some timeworn romance staples, especially the "I'm not good enough for her son I'm going to leave her" nonsense. It just never rings true. And particularly in this case and the timing of it. Very disappointing. The dual storylines related to domestic violence are important as is the differing dynamic in dealing with it. The condemnation of the legal system is deserved in one case though I believe not accurately portrayed in the other. Nearly all states have rules regarding police procedure and requirements in domestic violence cases that seem to be ignored here. Hard time believing the case would have been handled that way. Seems like poor research to me...a basic internet search shows that Colorado has mandatory arrest laws along with orders of protection. These errors really stand in the way of my being able to enjoy an otherwise very good story. A little more effort on the part of the author could have written around these issues. Other than that part of the story the rest of the story is good and so many seeds are sown for future books. The characters in this series are richly drawn and full of personality. The family dynamic is entertaining and all of the distinct personalities will make for great future books. I look forward to reading the rest of this series.
