This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 26th China Conference on Information Retrieval, CCIR 2020, held in Xi'an, China, in August 2020.*
The 12 full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 102 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections: search and recommendation, NLP for IR, and IR in finance.

* Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the conference was held online supplemented with local on-site events.
