This tale is about three brothers who each are sent one at a time by their father to bring gifts to the king but along the way each encounters a witch. The first two boys attempt to outwit the witch though the youngest boy does not but rather is friendly and honest. The witch places a spell on the all three gift baskets but only in a bad way on the baskets of the boys that were dishonest. The honest boy receives a spell on the gift basket that makes the king very happy.
