Within an Inch of His Life

By Émile Gaboriau

  • Release Date: 1873-01-01
  • Genre: Social Science

The story begins at nighttime in Paris, the streets and roads being deserted, only the lights from the windows of the houses giving the sense of life. The promising start to the story leads to the intricacies presented in the following lines. With every chapter the story becomes more complicated and the element of suspense is enhanced. The description of the setting and the ambiance is the most significant thing in the writing of the book. The intricate plot, since it is well written and detailed, is easily comprehensible and readers enjoy the story to the fullest. The sentences seem to be pulling the readers along to the mystery which continues to become more complex with the progression of the story.
