Nadat Thorgal zijn geheugen heeft teruggekregen en aan Kriss van Valnor is ontsnapt, heeft hij zijn toevlucht gezocht in Brek Zarith, waar de prins en vooral diens zuster Syrane hun uiterste best doen om hem over te halen daar te blijven.
