Now more than ever, there is a need for designing and implementing strategies towards sustainability-minded tourism practices. Stakeholders are charged not only with rescuing this key, job-creating industry from the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, but also with transforming conventional tourism, which has exacerbated the climate crisis through pollution, encroachment on ecosystems, and extractivist land use. Including contributions from international experts at the interdisciplinary nexus of tourism studies, this book provides fresh insights on sustainable tourism by platforming research dedicated to sustainable tourism-related models, innovations, and policies. This book contributes to our collective understanding of how we can enjoy and benefit from travel while enacting positive, sustainable changes.
