In this volume, with deft keystrokes and digital color, writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Acapulco provide a Joker story that perhaps eclipses even Alan Moore and Brian Bolland's The Killing Joke. The genre is Lovecraftian horror, and the haunting visual, referenced over and over, is the Joker's own face, which he himself has removed to leave for Batman as a portent of sadism to come. Terrifying.

This is a great Batman Story, And Easily in my opinion the Best Batman story of The New 52. It definitely lives up to the hype it had. It is Very Suspenseful, Dark, Gritty and all in all Disturbing, Which is what the story was supposed to be and it definitely nailed it. I give it 5 Stars

This is the definition of a good joker story. Snyder shows the clown prince in a whole new light, who now seemingly has a twisted love for the Dark Knight. It explores the joker as a character more than any other story, even the Killing Joke! You'd have to be crazy (get it?) not to read this book!
  • Great story😑🤗

I absolutely love the Joker! He is definitely my favorite villain!! So I have very high standards for a Joker story, and this exceed my standards greatly!! I love the way they brought the Joker back! A way that I'm sure even the Joker himself would approve. Definitely the best In the series so far
