#1 New York Times Bestseller — With a new Afterword

"Guaranteed to make blood boil." —Janet Maslin, New York Times

In Michael Lewis's game-changing bestseller, a small group of Wall Street iconoclasts realize that the U.S. stock market has been rigged for the benefit of insiders. They band together—some of them walking away from seven-figure salaries—to investigate, expose, and reform the insidious new ways that Wall Street generates profits. If you have any contact with the market, even a retirement account, this story is happening to you.

Michael Lewis made Wall Street great again by making it honest again.

Flash boys is an excellent read diving into the slums of the financial world, HFT and those who continue to try and defend the average investor. Great read for finance buffs and the casual investor.

Makes me proud and glad to be Canadian. Brad and co, despite clearly illustrating the astounding deceit, dishonesty, immorality, and express criminality underlying the big banks and trading houses of Wall Street, have yet to move the SEC to do anything about it thereby making them complicit. So, essentially America’s securities system is being skimmed and the US government is doing nothing to fix it. Wow!

The information was interesting but this isn't a good read by Lewis' standards. If I just wanted details, I would have bought a text book.

Excellent & intriguing book even for the non-investor type. As an individual trader I’ve often thought that something like this was going on when market actions just “didn’t make sense.” This book brought clarity in an exciting, thrilling & captivating fashion. I highly recommend the iTunes audio book as well, Dylan Baker (narrator) does a great job.

I manage Futures and Futures Options for a living and do not deal in equities, but enjoyed Lewis’ literary discussion of HFT and how IEX evolved. I think everyone will have reasons to downgrade the book and reasons to promote it. For those looking for intricacies of order types and different HFT arbitrage this is not a technical or typical investment/analysis book. There are some interesting characters, but it doesn’t rise to the level of an intriguing thriller either. It was a great read while doing cardio at the gym.

Enough technical meat to keep my mind turning and involved and enough plot to make my arm hairs stand on end at the end.
