Most nights, especially those in October, were spent on the back of pickup trucks in the center of corn fields, telling ghost stories. She got her start writing in Shared Worlds, selling original stories to DAW Anthologies and sold her first urban fantasy series to traditional publishing. Her Zoë Martinique series now spans 7 books, ancillary novellas and short stories, as well as 3 spin off series.
Her Shared World work consists of happy times writing Star Trek (Starfleet Corps of Engineers, Star Trek: The Next Generation), Eureka! (Brain Box Blues, under the name Cris Ramsay), BattleTech, and Shadowrun.
