Aphrodite was the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and procreation. But, this book is not about her, although its title may lead you to think that.
This is a story about the courtesan Chrysis and the sculptor. Démétrios. Chrysis is an incredibly beautiful woman, a Galilean with long golden hair, who is aware of her beauty and uses it to seduce the men around her. She is a successful seductress, who doesn’t seduce only the man she loves, Démétrios. He, on the other hand, is admired and loved by all the women of the town and he is tired of that. But, all of the women, there is one who doesn’t care about him, or that’s the way it seems. Although she is in love with him, she doesn’t admit that to him, but asks three objects from Démétrios, promising in return a night of love. Démétrios steals the three objects she requires from him and even murders, and carrying them, he dreams about the promised night.
Will they have their happily ever after? Will this be a story with a happy ending?
